Established in 2019, InspireMVMT personal trainers are Doctors in Physical Therapy who specialize in strength and conditioning and have a passion for delivering a distinctive fitness education and personalized fitness experience.

    Dan grew up in Boston, MA and graduated from Quinnipiac University earning his Bachelors in Health Science Studies and Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2015. Dan went on to work full-time as a physical therapist in Boston for over 3 years with a wide variety of clientele. Upon completion of physical therapy, Dan offered his patients further training and guidance for their athletic and fitness goals. Dan moved to Honolulu in September of 2018 and worked as a full time physical therapist prior to co-founding InspireMVMT in 2019.

    Dan uses his love of the gym, hiking, and basketball to keep himself mentally and physically strong in his free time.

  • Personal trainer Honolulu

    James Ablang - DPT, Lead Personal Trainer

    Specializations Strength and Conditioning Sport-Specific Training and Conditioning

    James holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology Exercise Science from California State University, Long Beach and a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne (2018).

    He takes a holistic, client-centered approach, integrating education, injury prevention, and evidence-based training. He beleives that strength and conditioning are key to healthy aging. James has experience in academia as an adjunct instructor at HPU and outpatient Physical Therapy.

    He as a strong interest in sports, orthopedic, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Outside of work, he enjoys outrigger paddling, hiking, fitness, and exploring food and coffee.
